Merck tops expectations, Schering misses - Yahoo! News: "TRENTON, N.J. - Pharmaceutical companies Schering-Plough Corp. and Merck & Co. posted strong sales Monday from their joint venture on cholesterol drugs, but otherwise their third-quarter earnings reports — and investor reaction — were strikingly different."
